Cafe Naz has two outlets in Brick Lane, one a sort of buffet place where you can take your
own drink. The other, their flagship brasserie at 46-48 Brick Lane is a cool contemporary
restaurant with a fine Bengali menu.
Highlights among the starters included chicken chat and aloo chat, and chandi lamb tikka.
Chingri puri - a chapati piled with spiced fried prawns - is also worth trying.
As main courses we had chicken madras (fiery and delicious), chicken jalfrezi (excellent),
rogan josh (great flavours) and garlic chilli chicken (wonderful), together with saag aloo, tarka
dhal and chick peas.
Our two Indian colleagues agreed that the food (and the Bangla beer) was great. You can see
a virtual tour on their web site.
