This place is cool to the point of icy.
One of our colleagues, Ash, has a connection (family or friends) and took us there for dinner.
The decor and table settings are modern and elegant. The menu has lots of variation,
including several fish dishes.
I chose a lamb fillet starter, Mans Ke Shooley, and then Murgh Jalfrezi. Both were delicious -
potent but subtle, with fresh spices, and beautifully presented. Just to give an idea, the
photos below, taken with a Nokia camera phone in low lighting show the jalfrezi and a lamb
biryani. The chicken breast was cooked with fresh spices and then sliced and laid on the
jalfrezi sauce.

Other recommendations include as a starter, the platter for two which includes fish, lamb,
chicken and sag paneer delicacies, and the Goan fish curry. Everyone praised the food , the
decor and the atmosphere.
You can see more on their web site: www.lasan.co.uk including a video that gives a much
better idea of the quality of the place.
But don't take my word for it - when you're in Birmingham, try it!
